While insect seen on "Silence of the Lambs" poster is a Death Moth, it bears visible resemblance to Cicada 3301 logo.

Pilgrims Edit

Cicada calls us "pilgrims". It's the same term Hannibal uses when he's posting book code encrypted messages for Tooth Fairy in a newspaper.

William Blake Edit

Cicada 3301 used a collage of William Blake's paintings in image posted on Onion as 1033.jpg. Source of the page also contains William Blake's quote - "For Every Thing That Lives Is Holy".

William Blake plays important role in Hannibal Lecter stories. In "Red Dragon" main antagonist who calls himself The Great Red Dragon is obsessed with William Blake's painting "The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in Sun". He has a tattoo inspired by the painting on his back.

In "Silence of the Lambs", Hannibal recites short part of William Blake's "Auguries of Innocence".
